Dennis J. Lawrence

President & CEO

Dennis Lawrence, President and CEO of CLARK Material Handling Company joined CLARK as a full partner in 2005 after a 25-year career in the headwear manufacturing and distribution business. A native of Canada, he has partnered with Mr. S.H. Baik of the Young An Hat Company, CLARK’s parent company for close to 40 years. CLARK was acquired by the Young An Hat Company in 2003. Today he oversees CLARK Material Handling Company, North America which has distribution responsibilities for the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

In his short tenure in the material handling industry, he and his team have been instrumental in achieving top 10 forklift status worldwide. He has led initiatives at CLARK that include the establishment of a North American Research and Development center, the implementation of forklift manufacturing in the US, leading Community Corporate Philanthropy efforts with a growing number of local businesses in the Bluegrass, Lean Manufacturing, Leadership Management, employee community volunteer service initiatives through the Raising Hope program, and engagement with local organizations including Commerce Lexington and the University of Kentucky Gatton School of Business.

Under his leadership and vision, CLARK has been awarded, three times, the “Best Place to Work in Kentucky” distinction. Having corporate philanthropy as the cornerstone of its business, CLARK has been recognized for numerous awards including Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Best Place to Work in Kentucky, God’s Pantry, The Salvation Army, Kentucky Employers Mutual Insurance awards for safety and the Governors awards in both Lexington and Louisville for workplace safety.

He continues to lead CLARK’s business into a new decade while expanding the corporate philanthropy and providing CLARK employees and their families an opportunity to be part of a great organization.

Michael J. Grossman

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Michael J. Grossman is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for CLARK Material Handling Company. He is responsible for all legal, corporate and ethics compliance, and corporate secretarial activities of CLARK. Michael joined the Legal Department of Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, Michigan in 1978 as an Attorney.

Throughout the years Michael has held multiple positions within CLARK’s Legal Department and has served as General Counsel of CLARK Material Handling Company since 2000. Michael has a robust knowledge of the material handling industry and the legal and commercial issues it faces, and that knowledge is used on a daily basis in support of CLARK’s businesses in the Americas. Michael serves on Lawyers’ Committee of the Industrial Truck Association, having served previously as its Chairman. Michael received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Government & International Relations from the University of California. Michael is admitted to practice law in Kentucky, Illinois and Michigan, and is a member of the American and Kentucky Bar Associations.

Chuck Moratz

Senior Vice President Global Engineering

Chuck Moratz has been with CLARK Material Handling Company for 23 years. He is currently the Senior VP of Global Engineering. Previous positions for Moratz include, Chief Operating Officer, VP Truck Operations, Director Product Support, IC Product Manager, and Director Engineering Support. Moratz earned his BS of Engineering from the United States Military Academy and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Dan Kaiser

Director of Finance & Controller

Dan Kaiser has been with CLARK Material Handling Company since October 2016. Dan is currently the Director of Finance & Controller and is responsible for management of the financial and accounting functions of the Company. Dan oversees the relationships with all the CLARK Financial Partners. Dan brings more than 16 years of finance and management experience to CLARK. Dan earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.
