CLARK Material Handling Company Earns Multiple Employee-Driven Awards

Lexington, KY – March 26th, 2024 CLARK Material Handling Company—a top-ten manufacturer of forklifts and spare parts with North America headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky and locations in Louisville, Kentucky and Dallas, Texas—is pleased to announce several employee-driven awards for 2024.

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) have designated CLARK Material Handling Company as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for 2024. This marks the sixth time CLARK has earned the prestigious Best Places to Work award. Previously, CLARK earned this distinction in 2013, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. This distinction is bestowed on both CLARK Kentucky facilities: their American Headquarters and manufacturing plant in Lexington, and their state-of-the-art parts distribution center in Louisville.

Additionally, the Best Companies Group, a BridgeTower Media Company, has designated CLARK as one of the top 5 Best Places to Work in Texas! This marks the first time CLARK has earned the Best Places to Work in Texas award, after opening offices in Dallas, Texas within the last eighteen months. CLARK was recognized and selected based on responses from a detailed and comprehensive survey of its employees.

The Best Companies Group also designated CLARK as one of the Best Places to Work in Manufacturing for 2024. CLARK ranked #7 in the nation in manufacturing. This marks the first time CLARK has won this award, which is measured based off ranking in eight core focus areas, including Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment and more!

All three awards were determined based off comprehensive employee surveys, and through analysis of the programs, benefits, and work environment that CLARK fosters for their employees.

“At CLARK, we pride ourselves on being employee-focused, and putting the safety and wellbeing of our employees above all else. We walk in the door each day and consider how we will take care of each other and our community before anything else. Our employees are second-to-none, and we are honored they have chosen us as one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for the sixth time,” commented Dennis Lawrence, President and CEO of CLARK.

“We are proud to be ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in Texas”, added CLARK Chief Operating Officer Michael Binnie. “We believe that our company’s success is grounded in our outstanding CLARK team members and our core values of Integrity, Employee Commitment, Teamwork, Pursuit of Excellence, and Corporate Citizenship.”

Addressing the Best Places to Work in Manufacturing ranking, Anthony Nash, Director of Manufacturing at CLARK, commented, “At CLARK, we strive to create a manufacturing work environment that is safe, clean, and supportive of our employees and their needs. We are constantly working to improve our processes based on employee feedback and are honored to have our employees bestow this distinction on us, and to be named as top-ten manufacturing employer in the country.”
