CLARK ANNOUNCES THE DONATION OF A C25 FORKLIFT TO KENTUCKY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

April 8th, 2022: Lexington, KY: CLARK Material Handling Company, a top-ten global manufacturer of forklifts and spare parts, recently announced their donation of a C25 CLARK forklift to Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, for use in their Madisonville, KY location. In December of 2021, devastating tornados struck the southwestern and western regions of Kentucky, leaving thousands without running water, electricity, and homes.

In response to this crisis, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity pledged to build over 440 homes in the coming years—doubling their existing commitment of 220 homes.

With an influx of donated materials, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity knew they needed a safe, reliable, and Built to Last forklift that could move the materials from warehouse to job site, and they turned to CLARK for assistance. CLARK has been a consistent supporter of Habitat for Humanity since 2015, and in 2017 sponsored a full Habitat for Humanity house in celebration of the Centennial Anniversary at CLARK.

Since then, CLARK has donated time, talent, and dollars to support the ongoing efforts of Habitat for Humanity in the Bluegrass and surrounding regions. When Kentucky Habitat for Humanity reached out in need of a forklift, CLARK answered the call. This week CLARK proudly announced the donation of a C25 forklift to Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, providing them a solution that will help them in their efforts to house the homeless and provide a decent place to live for everybody.

“CLARK has been a long-time partner of Habitat for Humanity, through the CLARK Raising Hope program. In recognition of their increased need and their commitment to rebuild the homes lost in the devastating tornados, CLARK is proud to donate a C25 to their organization,” commented CLARK President and CEO Dennis Lawrence.

In addition to the donation of the forklift, CLARK dealer, Material Handling, Inc., in Bowling Green, KY, who will be the servicing dealer for this truck, have agreed to donate the service work for this truck for its lifetime at Habitat for Humanity. Material Handling, Inc. is a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity, and in 2019 they sponsored a Habitat for Humanity home of their own.

“We are proud to donate the service and parts work for this truck to ensure it continues to operate to the fullest extent throughout its service at Habitat for Humanity. The partnership we have shared with Habitat for Humanity in our own communities is one that is near and dear to us, and when CLARK reached out with this request, we jumped at the opportunity to provide support to the organization when they need it the most,” noted Mike Sain, President of MHI, Inc. in Nashville, TN.

The donated C25 will be delivered to the Pennyrile Region Habitat for Humanity, to assist them in their efforts to build 440 homes in the next several years.
